How To Jailbreak Your iPad In iOS 7

iOS hackers "the evad3rs" just released a huge jailbreak for all iOS 7 devices. That includes the iPhone 5s, iPhone 5c, iPad Air, iPad Mini..if it runs iOS 7, it's covered. There is a lot of drama behind this release of this jailbreak, mainly due to a competitor trying to release a jailbreak and a rumored $1,000,000 payout being on the line. It even appears that saurik's Cydia hasn't been fully tested for this abrupt jailbreak release, but usually Sunday is funday.

Here are the steps to jailbreak your iPad, iPhone, or iPod Touch running iOS 7:

Step 1: Download evasi0n7 and extract the package (Windows | Mac).

Step 2: Double click on the evasi0n7 app to run it.

Note: If your device has a passcode set, unlock your device and go to Settings > General > Passcode Lock > and select Turn Passcode Off.

Step 3: Plug in your iPad to your computer, and wait for evasi0n to recognize your iOS 7 device.

Step 4: After a few seconds, you should see a message on the tool that it has detected your device. The Jailbreak button should become clickable.

Step 5: Click that button in the image above then sit back while the jailbreak application does its thing.

Step 6: To complete the jailbreak, you’ll be asked to tap the evasi0n7 icon on your iPad home screen.

Now your jailbreak is complete, this version was release a little earlier than original planned and may have a few bugs. There are also issues existing with the substrate in the Cydia app, but these issues will soon be fixed. Jailbreak your iPad in iOS 7 took less than 100 days from the official release of iOS 7 from Apple. Apple has been working to update to iOS 7.1 with a recent beta being released, it is a little strange in the way that this iOS 7 jailbreak was urgently released today.
