iPad Air Supply Is Strong

In the past, Apple has had a little trouble keeping up with the demand of during an iPad model launch.  This was most prominent in 2011 with the release of the iPad 2 with 4-5 week delays following the launch.  Below is a comparison of the Original iPad, iPad 2 and iPad 3 (retina).  The 4th generation full size iPad really only integrated the lightning cable, initial demand was met.

Many have reported that an abundance of iPads have been arriving at Apple locations.  The iPad Air is also being discounted at Walmart as well, and shipments have been arriving with discounted pricing being applied already. The $479 price point will surely drive a few people to buy their new iPad Air at a Walmart location instead.

Apple seems pretty confident with the initial launch on November 1st including more than 20 countries.  The iPad Air is a significant improvement to the previous version, much like the iPad 2 was to the Original iPad.  The delays the iPad Mini experienced last fall jumped to 2 weeks temporarily before catching up to demand.

Planning to just stroll in Friday to buy your iPad Air or wait in line?
