iPad Air Jailbreak

Since Apple announced the new iPad Air, I have already received a couple questions regarding a jailbreak for the iPad Air. Jailbreaks are released, typically in a couple different ways. One method is that a jailbreak would be released for the entire line of iOS devices running the latest version, the other method is a slowly rolled out jailbreak for the different generation of devices. The first method is an attempt to include the iPad Air jailbreak, the iPhone 5S, and retina iPad Mini along with support for all the past devices.

A jailbreak for the iPad Air will like arrive at the same time as a jailbreak for the iPhone 5S since both run on the latest A7 processor. When a jailbreak is rolled out, support for A4 (bootrom exploit), A5, A6, and A7 processor models are individually jailbroken. The latest rumblings from the jailbreak community supports that a jailbreak will likely be offered for the entire line of iOS 7 devices, which goes back to the iPhone 4/4S.

Personally, I still have my iPhone 5 and my iPad Mini jailbroken running iOS 6.1.2 which makes it tough to keep up on iOS 7 and the latest Apple devices. It is unlikely that a jailbreak will be released for iOS 7 in the next couple weeks, it will likely take months for the latest iOS jailbreak. The days to jailbreak has been progressively getting longer, and iOS 7 has now been available for over a month.

Time will only tell for the iOS 7 jailbreak.
