iPad Air, Available Nov 1st

Today, Apple announced the 5th generation full-size iPad with a new name...iPad Air.  As compared to the previous generation, the iPad Air is 20% thinner and weighs more than 30% less coming in at 1 pound. This is a major improvement over the more bulky retina iPad, last year really only the lightning port was brought to the full size iPad.

The iPad Air replaces the current full size retina iPad and it's price points.  16 GB iPad Air starts at $499 for the WiFi version, and $629 for the 4G LTE connection.  The new iPad Air is 72x faster than the original iPad announced just 3 and a half years ago.  The A7 chip from the iPhone 5s is included, but no fingerprint sensor.

I expect and iPad Pro announcement to come soon with the name change of the original iPad.  What do you think?
