iOS 7 Jailbreak

After the evad3rs released an iOS 6 jailbreak, many jailbreak developers have begun setting their sights on jailbreak iOS 7. This jailbreak chart is actually a little concerning, each new major iOS version has led to more days to a public jailbreak. Many jailbreak developers will probably jailbreak iOS 7 on the first day of release, but creating a publicly available jailbreak usually leads to many months of waiting with my shiny new iPad or iPhone.

Joshua Hill (@p0sixninja) announced on twitter that "the next jailbreak might be created entirely by him". The evad3rs team were specifically noted in the iOS 6.1.3 update as "discovering" these bugs. Jailbreaking iOS 7 will likely create more complication for the jailbreak developers, the announcement of an beta iOS 7 in June will certainly show whether saved exploits are still valid in the new iOS.

iOS 7 will probably not be publicly available until the fall (September), so I will continue to run an untethered jailbreak in iOS 6.1.2 on my iPhone and iPad.
