Samsung Galaxy S4 Nearly Twice As Fast As iPhone 5

Last week, Samsung announced the Galaxy S IV with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 600 processor with 4 cores (1.9 GHz). According to the Geekbench results, the Galaxy S III was already better than the iPhone 5. The new Samsung smartphone has a geekbench score nearly twice that of the latest Apple smartphone (iPhone 5).

The chip tested in the Galaxy S Iv is actually the weaker processor option offered. Some countries will be offering the Galaxy S IV with a Samsung 8-core Exynos processor, apparently leaving Apple and the iPhone in the dust. The latest iPad has a geekbench score in the 1700s.

The new Galaxy S smartphone will begin shipping next month...processor power and battery life go hand-in-hand. Apple balances the processor power and battery life in iOS devices to keep them small, light and stylish.
