Days To Jailbreak [Chart]

Jailbreak developers seem to have increased difficulty with jailbreak the latest and greatest Apple iPhone. Typically the iPad introduces a new processor for the iPhone a few months early, giving developers a preview of what is to come. Since the iPhone 4 and original iPad, jailbreak developers have needed to rely on alternative methods for jailbreaking devices...reinventing the wheel each time to deliver a jailbreak solution to the community.

The original iPhone, iPhone 3G and iPhone 3GS were jailbroken rather quickly as compared to the iPhone 4.  Apple has since made access to the bootrom nearly impossible and jailbreak developers have needed to rely on iOS software bugs to perform the jailbreak.  Trending the iPhone jailbreaks, it appears that the next iPhone will take about 6 months to jailbreak if this trendline continues.
