Gorilla Glass 3 iPad In March?

With the minor (lightning) update to the retina iPad a couple months ago, many are expecting that Apple will release a new iPad (and possibly a retina iPad Mini) in March. Since 2010, Apple has began shipping a new version of the iPad around March...and personally I expect them to again.


Gorilla Glass 3 from Corning will be unveiled at CES 2013 next week, providing 3 times the resistance to scratching or breaking. Here is a photo of my retina iPad 3 that I still use regularly, even though it is shattered. Haven't decided whether I am going to replace it or not, waiting for a jailbreak for my iPad Mini in iOS 6.

I would say that 1 out of 4 of my friends have a cracked screen on their iPhone/Android, but suspect that people take better care of their more expensive tablet.

  1. Just buy a replacement kit online, I replaced mine without a problem more than a year ago, just a little bit of dust that went in but if careful it works like a charm
