Nokia, Motorola Announced New Smartphones

Motorola/Google and Nokia/Microsoft hosted events this week ahead of the Apple event next Wednesday to beat Apple to the punch with their latest and greatest devices. Here are the new devices that are aiming for a piece of the smartphone market by Google and Microsoft.

Nokia Lumia 920

4.5-inch Nokia PureMotion HD+ WXGA IPS LCD with super sensitive touch, 2000 mAh batter with integrated Qi wireless charging. 1.5 GHz Dual-core Snapdragon S4 with an 8.7 MP main camera and 1.2 MP front facing camera.

Motorola Razr HD and Razr Maxx HD

These new smartphones share a 1.5GHz dual-core processor, a 4.7-inch Super AMOLED HD display, 8MP camera and 1GB RAM. The Razr HD comes with a 2,500mAh battery that it says is good for 16 hours of talk time, or 24 hours of mixed use. The Maxx, however, comes with a 3300 mAh pack that offers up 21 hours of talk time, or 32 hours of mixed use. Interestingly enough, even with the bigger battery, the Maxx is just 9.33mm thick.

Samsung Galaxy S III

Also, today Samsung has announced that since the May 3rd release of the Samsung Galaxy S III they have sold 20 million units. The 10 month old iPhone 4S was finally passed by the Samsung Galaxy S at many wireless carriers.
