Gmail App For iPad

One of my favorite things about my iPad 2 (and newly acquired iPhone 4S) is the ability to port 20 email accounts together for eliminate the need for multiple web-based logins. Apple has now approved the first 3rd-party email app for the iPhone, iPod Touch and the iPad dubbed iOS App For Gmail. Google yanked their Gmail App from the App Store quickly after reports of a notifications bug by many users.

As many of you know, I was previously a MotoDroid user on Android. A few nice features of Gmail on Android were the ability to have a priority inbox feature, send and open attachments and the ability to search. I also miss labeling, starring, deleting and reporting spam through my iPad mail app in my Gmail accounts. With AnyAttach my jailbroken iPad can much more simply attach files while in email compose mode, this feature is missing in iOS.

From Google:

We’ve created a new Gmail app for iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch. We’ve combined your favorite features from the Gmail mobile web app and iOS into one app so you can be more productive on the go. It’s designed to be fast, efficient and take full advantage of the touchscreen and notification capabilities of your device. And it’s one more reason to switch to Gmail.
