Siri Personal Assistant For iPad [Jailbreak]

The lackluster highlight of the Apple event held today was the Siri Personal Assistant for the iPhone 4S. Siri is being made exclusive to the iPhone 4S in iOS 5, which is going to lead to yet another reason to jailbreak your iPad or iPhone 4 running iOS 5 to gain iPad voice control.

I'm not really sure why other iOS 5 devices are being left behind for this Siri Personal Assistant feature, but many would like a port of Siri to the iPad. Maybe the iPhone 4S has some additional or improved hardware installed to enable this functionality? I know that once my iPad and iPhone 4 are converted over to an jailbroken version of iOS 5, I will be searching Cydia on my iPad for a way to try out Siri.

Siri hasn't been included in the latest beta version of iOS 5, and may instead be a cooked in especially for the iPhone 4S owners. If that is the case, the simple task of enabling the feature may not be possible through Cydia.

  1. I'm also going to jailbreak just so I can get the feature on my iPhone 4... I don't care if it takes twice as long for my phone to get the information I asked about on the screen, just as long as I have that feature. I'm not going to buy the new 4S for the features that were announced. I'm waiting for iPhone 5/6 or what ever they are going to call it. I'm just curious what took them 16 months to upgrade the internals of iPhone 4 to 4S level...?! Was it just the iOS 5 that wasn't finished or was it a failed prototype (the tear-dropped one) that turned out to be to clumsy, big, warm, etc. etc. for Apple standards or what?
