It seems the only real success in creating hype behind an Android tablet has been the HP TouchPad...when it discountinued and prices were slashed to $99. Fusion Garage has just slashed the price of the Grid 10 tablet from $499 to $299 for the WiFi model and from $599 to $399 for the 3G model. Fusion Garage has stated that the price drop resulted from the ability to "negotiate better supply chain pricing".
Fusion Garage Grid 10 will be available on October 1st assuming it satisfies Adobe Flash Player certification requirements. A few other Android tablets (Acer, Lenovo) are undercutting the iPad by a couple hundred bucks before the upcoming holiday push. Better hurry thought, just over 100 Christmas shopping days left.
