Apple Stores, 1 Billion Served

This morning, Apple revealed to Current that they have seen over 1 billion customers through their retail store doors since the first Apple Store opened in Washington. Just over 10 years ago in May 2001, Steve Jobs led a group of journalists to the first Apple Store.

"Apple Retail has been in business for 10 years. During this period, we have had over 1 billion visitors through our doors, many of whom are new to the Mac, as the Apple Store is the best place to learn about all the latest products from Apple."

Apple also revealed that they plan to have 363 Apple Stores open by the end of their financial year, ending September 25th. This gives Apple only 67 days to open another 33 stores throughout the world. A couple of those new stores are expected to open in China, 33 stores in a couple months means Apple is ready for more expansion.
