Amazon Tablet To Take On iPad For Holiday Sales

According to the Wall Street Journal, the new Amazon touchscreen Kindle is expected to be released in October alongside the regular physical keyboard version. The Amazon tablet is expected to be around 9 inches in size and run a version of Google Android OS, I would assume Honeycomb.

Amazon's App Store already includeds Android apps, and would likely sell movies, music and maybe a few books. Amazon and the Kindle name certainly has a good following and couple prove to be the first real iPad competitor.
