Well, if you type in iPod.com into your browser bar...it takes you to the Apple page for the iPod Touch (in the U.S. at least). And Apple has filed a complaint to gain access to iPods.com. Now it appears that someone is getting ready to launch iPad.com according to the current "coming soon".

It is difficult to tell who is behind iPad.com, but with WWDC getting close it could be something up Apple's sleeve. They currently own iPod.com, iPhone.com, iTunes.com, iMac.com, iWork.com and many other related domain names. Drop a comment here if you notice that iPad.com goes live before we do!
