$3 Billion Expected In 2011 Apps Sales

According to an App Store survey yesterday, it is expected that Apple will grab over 75% of the dollars spent on Apps. Projected figures for the Apple App Store this year suggest revenue of $2.91 billion, up over 60% from 2010 insignificant $1.78 billion.

Apple App Store - 10.3 billion
Android Market - 5.8 billion downloads
BlackBerry App World - 772.2 million downloads

Downloaded applications for 2011 is expected to reach 18.1 billion by year-end, the automatic app purchases only count for those that don't notice these charges. Apple reached 10 billion App Store downloads back in February and there is no slowdown coming. Now we just need Apple to launch their Apple TV App Store
