WWDC 2011 Scheduled, iPhone Left Behind

Apple has officially scheduled WWDC for 2011 for June 6th through the 10th in San Francisco. According to a recent Apple press release, they plan to unveil the future of iOS and Mac OS.

From Phil Schiller, Apple Senior VP

“If you are an iOS or Mac OS X software developer, this is the event that you do not want to miss.”

With no mention of the iPhone at the annual software developer conference, it appears this WWDC will be for sofware news only. Even Jim Dalrymple claims there will be no iPad, iPhone or Mac hardware introduced like in past years. Expect the iPhone 5 to arrive with iOS 5, likely in the fall of 2011.
