Smaller iPhone In June?

There has been a lot of buzz lately regarding Apple developing a lower end iPhone with the same components used in the iPhone 4. Essentially shrinking the iPhone 4 down one-third and introducing an iPhone 5 with advanced hardware this upcoming summer.

Bloomberg mentioned yesterday that Apple may be planning to refresh their iPhone line with new models to better compete with the growing number of Android smartphones.

One version would be cheaper and smaller than the most recent iPhone, said a person who has seen a prototype and asked not to be identified because the plans haven’t been made public. Apple also is developing technology that makes it easier to use the iPhone on multiple wireless networks, two people said

Delivering a $200 smaller iPhone without a contract seems like a great idea, and as a parent...I could see picking this "Free with contract" iPhone up for one of my kids when they get a little older. What do you this of a slightly smaller iPhone?
