Motorola Xoom Price And Release Date

It looks like a Best Buy flyer in yesterday's Sunday paper has leaked the launch date for the Motorola Xoom. February 24th is touted as the "available in store" date in the Best Buy headline. No other details from the ad appear to be breaking news, although it does state that the Xoom is "3G upgradeable to 4G LTE" and the price is $800!

There is an odd caveat at the bottom in the yellow...

"To activate WiFi functionality on this device, a minimum of 1 month data subscription is required."

Verizon Wireless data plans look like 1GB - $20, 3GB - $35, 5GB - $50, and 10GB - $80 monthly plans. The price tag is quite high for the Xoom in our opinion, that price tag probably just cut their sales by 30-50% as compared to a previously rumored $600 price point.

In case you missed is the Xoom Tablet Superbowl Commercial which took a cue from the Apple 1984 commercial which shows a mindless crowd walking around with Apple's classic earbuds.
