10.1 Galaxy Tab
From the first peeks of the Galaxy Tab 10.1 inch version, it seems to be just as nice (or nicer) than the Motorola Xoom priced at $799. The larger Galaxy Tab has 1280 x 800 resolution, 2 MP front camera, 8 MP rear camera with HD video and a Tegra 2 processor. The line-up is expected to include a 16GB and 32GB version at launch. The Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 weighs only 1.2 pounds as compared to a iPad 3G at 1.6 pounds.
Apple nailed the best screen size with the 10 inch range, but the orientation of 16:10 for the Galaxy Tab is still hard to take. This orientation makes it difficult to use in portrait mode, which is how I use my iPad (with a 4:3 orientation) about half the time.
I haven't seen anyone using a smaller Samsung Galaxy Tab in portrait mode, and have yet to see a photograph of the larger Galaxy Tab 10.1 in an upright configuration either.
Finally, the Galaxy Tab 10.1 will not be launched in the United States as previously rumored, with no word on its launch or pricing available.
