Restocking Fee At Apple Stores Is Gone

Apple adopted a similar restocking fee of Best Buy and other electronic retailers when the first Apple Store opened. Now after nearly 10 years of charging this return fee, Apple has decided to drop the 10% restocking fee.

The 14 day return period is still in effect, but now you can try out a WiFi iPad for 10 days and return it...to buy the 3G version. Some people abuse it, Apple will likely have some fine print to allow them to still refuse...maybe for fine scratches on the device. Any of these changes have anything to do with the Verizon iPhone 4 Event tomorrow?
