One of Apple's biggest advantages in the tablet and smartphone market is their App Store, and flexing that tech muscle through their advertisements is a decision built for success. By Apple showcasing their apps on commercials, it gives developers even more incentive to develop the "next big thing" to make it on an Apple commercial and gain "free" advertising.
This latest ad for the iPad called "Iconic" features a DJing app, airline ticket app, WSJ app, iBooks, iWork, a Hollywood app and Vanity Fair. Apple ought to focus on more innovative apps by small startups like Flipboard instead of showcasing apps from large established developers.
