Cut The Rope HD Review For iPad

Chillingo has priced Cut The Rope HD to sell very well, currently at only $1.99. This is a very simple game, with most of the levels easy to complete with 1 or no (Passable) stars. Basically, you have a frog named Om Nom that you need to feed some candy through an array of contraptions relying on (sometimes reversible) gravity. To gain starts, the candy needs to pass through these locations...with some starts disappearing after a certain time has elapsed.

The door has been left open for the introduction of additional boxes and levels through a version update, but there has been no word on when an update will occur.

There are 25 levels in 5 different boxes which require an achievement to be unlocked. I spent the better part of this past weekend, while traveling, to gain 3 stars on each of the 125 levels. Some were quite challenging, but many my 4 year old daughter was able to pass...although she was scared of the spiders!

Cut the Rope combines realistic physics, plus stunning High Definition graphics ,with simple, yet accurate and precise touch controls. Cut the ropes by simply swiping your finger across them and collect the stars by touching them with the candy, but it’s not always simple. Think before you slice and be sure to avoid the enemies and obstacles. Every level is different and getting that candy to Om Nom won’t be easy!

Cut The Rope HD is available for $2 from the App Store.
