BlackBerry PlayBook Getting Closer

There is still no announcement on pricing, but a few were able to get their hands on one of these at CES 2011. It appears that RIM will have similar models to the iPad in the 16, 32, and 64GB categories. Most sources are saying that the RIM PlayBook will be "priced like the iPad"...which seems a little high since this is only a 7 inch tablet.

From the media that I've seen so Especially with the "2nd generation" tablets being released around that time. It appears from the quote below from Gizmodo, that you will need to connect your PlayBook to your BlackBerry to access your email and calendar...what happened to the CLOUD?
Who, besides BlackBerry users, is going to want to buy it? The core email and calendar apps are completely tethered to a BlackBerry. Without your BlackBerry, there is no native email or calendar app.

It appears that the PlayBook is still 4-5 months from being released in the market, hopefully RIM is realizing this is a flop before the launch and is getting cold feet.
