The Motorola Xoom was leaked a couple weeks ahead of CES 2011 that is suppose to occur early next month. This was likely leaked by insiders at Motorola to try and create a little bit of hype over the new tablet by Motorola. The official details and unveiling which will include availability will be at Mobile World 2011 in February.
Motorola has confirmed that they will name the new Android Honeycomb OS tablet Motorola Droid XOOM. Info has also been released that the tablet will be going on sale starting February 11, 2011 and a optional LTE (4G) model will be available too. Last time I remember hearing or seeing an Android Honeycomb Tablet, it's price was $10,000.
I am a little excited to finally see this mythical Android HoneyComb OS and Android competitor to the iPad. The new tablet from Motorola is expected to have Android Honeycomb as the OS. The workhorse behind this tablet is expected to be a Nvidia Tegra 2 SoC featuring dual 1GHz ARM Cortex A9 cores. Photos leaked show a prototype model with a front and rear facing camera.
