Redsn0w 0.9.6b, OpenSSH For Broken Cydia

MuscleNerd has just confirmed that he is about to release a new version of Redsn0w that makes patching Cydia on jailbroken iOS 4.2.1 device much easier. The new version will include OpenSSH to ease the process of installing Cydia on iOS 4.2.1.

MuscleNerd: @N44GGA we're about to release a small redsn0w update that will make that much easier

N44GGA: @MuscleNerd just need openssh included thanx

MuscleNerd: @N44GGA yep that's what it will have :)

This new version will include OpenSSH and you'll not need to install OpenSSH in the previous guides to patch the broken Cydia. Anyway, we'll keep you updated whenever the tool is out, or may be they surprise us with the new version of Cydia compatible with iOS 4.2 for iPad.

The Dev Team pushed an update to jailbreak tool redsn0w, which nows allows developers to install custom bundles on iOS 4.2.1 without having to install Cydia. This is good as Cydia needs an update to work smoothly under iOS 4.2.

Redsn0w 0.9.6b3 for OS X is available here...

The Cydia app that’s included in this new version of Redsn0w is the same that was bundled with older versions, and won’t work on iOS 4.2.1 GM. Developers, however, can compile their own version of Cydia if they want.
