To get ready for the next year’s launch, component manufacturers have already been selected and are busy working on their portions of Apple’s new device according to a report from Taiwanese news site DigiTimes.
DigiTimes says that Ibiden, Tripod Technology and TTM Technologies have been selected to supply the printed circuit boards for the next gen iPad. According to Digitimes’...
“Ibiden, Tripod and TTM have received certification from Apple, and will start shipping any-layer HDI boards for iPad 2 in small quantities in December.”
Some of the new features already incorporated into the iPhone 4, like the front facing camera and gyroscope will likely be included in the iPad 2. It is also expected that the iPad will get a bigger and better processor to keep it ahead of the competition. The Galaxy Tab is introducing 1GHz processors in their tablets.
