PBS for iPad

PBS has launched an iPad app designed to stream the network's content to your iPad on demand. PBS for iPad is available for free right now on the App Store, and it has full streams of lots of classic shows. PBS for iPad looks like a great app, it's hard to argue with the price of getting all that content on the iPad completely for free.

The app also has schedule information about what's on TV, as well as a DVR-style feature that will let you resume shows when you pause them while watching. There's no iPhone or iPod touch version yet, but a (slightly different) version will arrive on those devices later this year.

If you can't get enough of the PBS content on your mobile device... PBS KIDS currently offers a number of iPad and iPhone apps for children like Super Why, PBS KIDS Photo Gallery and Martha Speaks.

The PBS Mobile apps enable our viewers to watch PBS programs and stay current with our most popular series, access local PBS station schedules, and stream a variety of content from the PBS archives. The PBS for iPhone and PBS for iPad apps make it possible for our viewers to learn more about and watch PBS programs when and where they want.

PBS for iPad is available for FREE from the App Store
