iPad Jailbreak iOS3.2.2 with Limera1n

Just a few hours ago, Geohot released limera1n to jailbreak for iPhone 3GS/4, iPod Touch 3G/4G, running iOS 4.0 and 4.1, below are instructions on how to jailbreak your iPad on iOS 3.2.2 using this recently released limera1n jailbreak.

Step 1: Download Limera1n jailbreak (limera1n.com)

Step 2: Connect your iPad to your computer via USB.

Step 3: Double click limera1n.exe file from the desktop, then click "make it ra1n".


Step 4: Follow the steps as shown in the below screen-shots.

Your iPad will be placed in recovery mode.


Now press "home" + "Power" buttons.


Release the "Power" button


Your iPad will now be in DFU mode


Step 5: Now you will see limera1n logo on your iPad


Step 6: iPad has been jailbroken successfully.


Step 7: Start limera1n from your iPad to install Cydia.


Step 8: Restart your iPad, enjoy jailbreak with Lime flavor.

Download iOS 3.2.2 for iPad.

  2. This doesnt work for me. Ipad 64G wifi - 3.2.2. Worked perfectly with my 4.1 3GS though.

    I have seen few ppl claim that they have been able to get this to work with 3.2.2.

    Someone commented that they managed to get it to work using Itunes 9.2? Might try this later

  12. Horray - it worked. First time around got strange error (couldn't connect to get Cydia).

    Had to exit limera1n and start app on ipad again. Then it worked.

    I'm freeeeeeeeee

  13. The jailbreak worked fur my iPad (32 GB 3GS). I had to HOLD the home button and release the power button... At first I kept releasing both.

  18. It worked fine for me at first time I[ad 64 WIFI 3G 3.2.2 version. I learned to have rooms available on the 2nd page so limera logo can go there. Thank for the developper. My IPAD is a joyful toy for me now.

Worked for me, iPad 32G WiFi only, make sure you keep holding the home button after you release the power button until you see the 'Your jailbreak is done' prompt, I did it once and it didn't work because I let go of the home button too soon. When you see the green rain drop on your iPad it will work. Scroll to the right from the main page to click on the limira1n icon, it is just a blank icon. Hope this helped.

    P.S. I am not familiar with apple products AT ALL and I got it to work, so believe me when I say, THIS JAILBREAK WORKS.

  32. I tried, and tried, and tried. The little bastard kept going through all the rounds, I'd see the green teardrop, the ipad would turn off. I'd turn it on, and no Limera1n logo. I'd hard reset, no Limera1n logo. Restored, tried everything over again, nothing.

    HERE IS THE MAGICAL FIX!
    Settings>>>General>>>Reset>>>Erase All Content and Settings

    Once the iPad restarts, plug it in to get it past that damn "plug me in" screen.

    Magically the Limera1n logo will appear on the second page. THIS NEEDS TO BE ADDED AS THE LAST STEP! It took me hours to stumble upon this fix.
