Almost as soon as the US Government announced that jailbreaking is legal in the US new jailbreaks for the iPhone 4 iOS 4 were introduced. These jailbreaks allow iPhone 4 buyers the ability to run applications not approved or sold by Apple.
These early jailbreaks were not without their problems. The ability to use FaceTime was lost as well as MMS, iPad owners experienced even more difficulties. The issues may be due to the hast in which these tools were released, just one week after the Library of Congress announcement.
Also, the newest jailbreak for the iPhone used a different method as well as exploit. You do not have to download or install any software. All you need to do is use the iPhones browser and connect to the jailbreak site. As this is a completely different method to jailbreak there are inevitably issues that need to be ironed out.
How long does everyone think it will take to get a Jailbreak for iOS4 on iPad? Still waiting for a 3.2.2 jailbreak?
