It's all quiet on the Samsung front but there are a number of speculations surfacing about how and when Samsung will be outing their version. An Intel Atom chip has been suggested for power, as used in netbooks, and with the added flexibility of an Atom-based product it has increased potential than the iPad. This has been reliably suggested by Philip Newton who is the Samsung IT Division Director.
It is inevitable for such manufacturers to produce their own versions, which is what Hewlett Packard and others have been doing, and looking into the fastest and most powerful components to ensure they reach the top. However, such components could mean a more hefty device.
