iPad Jailbreak

Then comes the question of iPad unlocking. Since the iPad isn't really T-Mobile 3G friendly as it is equipped with a UMTS/HSDPA (850, 1900, 2100 MHz) and GSM/EDGE (850, 900,1800, 1900 MHz) modem. So theoretically, iPad can be unlocked to work on TMobile but only at EDGE speeds.

This also leads to the question if the iPad can be jailbroken? Since it is running on a modified version of the iPhone OS, it is quite a possibility.

There are a number of Apple zealots who spend countless hours to jailbreak what isn't mean to be jailbroken and unlocked (and we love them for that). So if the incredible Dev Team or the legendary George Hotz (Geohot) is reading this, we request you to work your magic on the iPad.

A jailbroken device can provide much more functionality than a standard iPhone. There are a number of exceptional Apps that are not available through the iTunes App Store, but through Cydia and Installer, both of which are accessible through jailbroken iPhones.
